In Collaboration with the Deanship of quality and development the College of Petroleum
Technology and Engineering has organized a workshop on preparation of self –evaluation.
Dr. Sumayia Abdul Moniem Dean of the College addressed the gathering explaining that the
workshop is targeting the deans of colleges and evaluation and accreditation coordinators
as well as professors with expertise in the field of evaluation and accreditation, particularly
those who received a training course in Jordan. She stressed the importance of the
discussion with the deans and accreditation coordinators on thorough understanding of the
The issue of self-evaluation and Accreditation poses a genuine challenge to the university
by 1014 through the offer of academic programs and varied disciplines in order to identify
the real position of the evaluation requirements and quality assurance so long as this stands
out as a landmark in discovering the strengths and weaknesses of the colleges.
Dean of Deanship of Quality and Deveopment, Dr, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim pinpointed
the importance of external evaluation and report writing with strengths and weaknesses
involved underscoring the central position of the College of Petroleum Technolgy that took
the lead in this direction providing an example for some other colleges to follow.
Painting Lecturer Ashraf Abdel Moneim and his colleague from department of Sculpture Aqwad Issa, will Participate in an Art workshop in the Netherlands organized by Foundation Arts in Development through its president Dr. Mieke Kolk from Novemeber 2o, 2013 to the mid of December.
The workshop includes a visit to a number of art galleries, museums and art colleges during which they will meet with a number of Dutch professors and students.
The visit is expected to open up opportunities for fruitful cooperation between the College of Fine and Applied Arts and their counterparts in the State of the Netherlands. The college administration wish both teachers to have a good and successful visit.
a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association of Colleges of Fine Arts in the Arab Universities Union will be convened by the end of this month November 2013. the College of Fine and Applied Art at Sudan University of Science and Technology has occasionally participated in the activities of the Association as an old member. The college has been officially invited to participate in this meeting in which a number of issues related to Art and Design education in the Arab region will be discussed and elaborated upon.
This Saturday 09/20/2013 witnessed the beginning of final examinations for all classes. The exams are expected to end on the first week of October, and all students are expected to start their new year in the same month according to the university per-scheduled calendar.
The family of the College of Fine and Applied Art Congratulates , Tawer Adam Kuku for obtaining his Phd recently from SUST.
Dr. Tawer is well known for his outstanding art works in Pottery and Ceramics locally and regionally.
